Shame! 6 of Trump’s Biggest Lies At The State Of The Union

Last night, Donald Trump stood in front of Congress and told the country that everything is great.

He smiled. He boasted. He said America is “back.”

He said the economy is strong.

He said prices are falling.

He said we have never been better.

That sounds nice.

But nice words do not lower rent.

Nice words do not shrink grocery bills.

Nice words do not fix credit card debt.

The numbers tell a harder story.

Families still pay more for food than they did a few years ago.

Families still pay more for car insurance.

Families still pay more for rent.

When a president says “everything is great,” but people feel squeezed, something does not match.

This is not about party.

It is about math.

And math does not care who is talking.

He said inflation under Joe Biden was “the worst in history.”

That is Not true. One might even say it is a Lie.

Why is everything so expensive?

Inflation reached about nine percent in twenty twenty-two. That was high. It hurt families.

But it was not the worst in history. In the late nineteen seventies and early nineteen eighties (under Ronald Reagan), inflation went above thirteen percent. That was worse.

Now here is the part he does not say.

Inflation in twenty twenty-two did not appear out of nowhere.

In 2020, COVID shut the country down. Factories stopped. Ports clogged. The government rushed out trillions of dollars. Some of it was needed. Some of it made the supply mess worse as we reported in our previous article, Timeline: Trump Could’ve Stopped Covid19, But Didn’t. When the country reopened, there was money to spend, but not enough goods to buy. Too much demand. Not enough supply. Prices jumped. That is why your wallet hurt.

And now comes the next threat: Trump Tariffs. Trumps tariffs are taxes on things from other countries. Companies pay the tax. You pay the higher prices. Toys cost more. Clothes cost more. Food costs more. Every time you shop, your budget takes a hit.

These claims are not mistakes, you can verify them with a single google search. They are outright lies, crafted by a president who surrounds himself with the rich and powerful: people who benefit from these tariffs. You? You get stuck paying the price. Every grocery run. Every tank of gas. Every bill.

So here is the reality: inflation went up because of past missteps by Trump and Republican politicians, and Trump’s new tariffs could push it up again. Numbers on a screen, words from a president, they do not matter. What matters is what you pay.

When will gas prices go down?

He said gas costs less than two dollars in most states, or even $1 per gallon.

Is that true for you?

Think about it. You drive past the gas station every day. You see the numbers flashing on the sign. Do you see one dollar per gallon? No. You do not. Not in your state. Not in any state.

Gas prices are still high. They hit families and shoppers every time they fill up. And it is not just a number. It is the start of a chain. Trucks carry food, clothes, medicine. Higher gas means higher prices for everything.

So why say it? Because it sounds like a win. It sounds like relief. It sounds like magic. But magic does not lower the price on the pump. Does magic help you make rent every month?

Big claims do not make the numbers real. You know that.

Is Crime Actually Rising or Falling?

He said crime saw the biggest drop in history.

Look around. You see the neighborhoods. You see the streets. You see the news. You know the truth: crime has gone down a little since the pandemic spike, but it is not some miraculous record. Not the “biggest ever.” That’s just words.

Those words are designed to make you feel safe while ignoring what really matters: your city, your block, your family’s safety. Big claims from a president can sound comforting, but the reality on the ground does not change.

And like his tariffs, this claim works for the people he surrounds himself with in their gated communities and multi-million dollar homes. Politicians and the rich can boast about “record drops” while funding private security that the rest of us cannot afford. Meanwhile, if crime touches your life, the record books do not help. You still feel it. You still pay for it.

The numbers are spun. The headlines are loud. But you, the citizen, lives in the reality, not the long speech.

Do you feel your children are safe walking down the street, or does Trump’s crime have you and your family scared?

Why are prescription drugs so expensive in the U.S.?

He said drug prices went from the highest in the world to the lowest.

That is not true. It’s so not true it makes ya laugh.

First, in countries like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, citizens often pay nothing for most prescription medicines. Insulin can be free. Cancer drugs can be free. Heart medicine can cost nothing. Meanwhile, in the U.S., you pay full price.

Prescription drugs in the U.S. are still more expensive than almost anywhere else. The Republicans advice is, ‘Don’t get sick, and if you do, die quickly. Good luck with that whole cancer thing.’

Why say drug prices are the lowest in the world? Because it sounds like a win. It sounds like relief. It sounds like he is protecting you. But he’s not. He’s protecting the people he surrounds himself with: the pharmaceutical companies; the lobbyists; the powerful who profit while you pay more.

Every refill. Every copay. Every life-saving treatment is a reminder: the words on the stage do not match the bills in your mailbox.

This is the truth about his “victories”: the rich get richer. You get stuck paying.

Do tariffs raise consumer prices?

He said tariffs are just smart trade. That they protect America.

That is Also not true.

Tariffs are taxes. Taxes on the things we buy from other countries. Toys. Clothes. Electronics. Food. You pay those taxes. Every time.

Think about your last shopping trip. That price tag? It’s a little higher because of tariffs.

That toy. That shirt. That box of cereal. All costing more because someone thought this would “make America rich.” But guess what? The rich do get richer. The powerful do get richer. CEOs, lobbyists, and the friends surrounding the president laugh all the way to the bank while your wallet shrinks.

Tariffs are not magic. They do not make factories appear. They do not make jobs pay better. They do not make your bills smaller. They make prices higher. You, the citizen, feel it in every purchase. You feel it in your groceries, your gas, your bills.

And here is the worst part: the president can say anything he wants, but the math does not change. The cost is still yours. The burden is still yours. The rich keep winning while you keep losing.

How does Trump affect the economy?

Words on a stage do not feed your kids. Words on a stage do not pay your bills. Words on a stage do not lower your rent or your prescription costs. Trump can boast. He can lie. He can spin numbers and paint pictures of a perfect America. But you, the citizen, live in the real one. You see the prices. You see the crime. You see the gas. You pay the bills.

The truth is simple: the rich get richer. The powerful get stronger. You get stuck. Every grocery run. Every refill. Every tank of gas. Every night worrying if your children are safe walking down the street. That is the reality behind the lies, and it is happening right now.

You do not need speeches. You need honesty. You need numbers that match the world you live in. And until that happens, the cost is always yours.
