Trump Supporters Bring Shame on Themselves

My great aunt survived Auschwitz, and I can tell you that it started when someone like Donald Trump took power and started belittling others.  He started going after Immigrants, going after people of different religions, going after women, going after reporters, and going after ‘socialists.’ 

As a result, here, in the United States, Donald Trump has told 15,413 lies in his first three years in office, mostly about people of color. 

According to a University of Alabama study, hate crimes increased by 226% in counties that Trump visited, hitting a 16-year high according to the FBI, including desecration of Jewish graves.   And in ICE detention facilities, dozens have died, including 7 children who have died as a direct result of the Trump family separation policy.

These were innocent people who did no harm to any American. Did 2 year old Wilmer Josué Ramírez Vásquez take someone’s job?  Did 7 year old Jakelin Caal Maquín rape someone? Did 8 year old Felipe Alonzo Gómez sell drugs to someone? Did 10 year old Darlyn Valle commit a crime? Did 16 year olds Juan de León Gutiérrez and Carlos Hernández Vásquez cause a crisis? 

And more prisons are being built.  I want to make one thing clear, they are opening up these unsupervised private prisons that Trump is sending people to, and they’ve found rapes and sexual assaults by officers.  There have been beatings and tortures.  They’ll find more deaths, and they might even find mass graves. 

And when they do, I hope they’ll make you and your brethren tour those facilities, like the German citizens who ignored the concentration camps.  You are on the wrong side of history, and you will have blood on your hands for supporting such heinous acts.
